Red Cherry Shrimp the Freshwater Aquarium Algae Eating Shrimp
Red Cherry Shrimps are freshwater aquarium algae eating shrimps,
which are of bright red coloration. It is a popular shrimp in the freshwater aquarium hobby due to its color, hardiness and prolificness. Cherry Shrimp make a good beginner shrimps in a planted aquarium tank and reproduce at the age of three months with the size of about 2cm, provided they are happy with their water conditions and their environment. You may like to add brackish water extract to promote breeding.
Freshwater shrimp farming
is fairly easy. As with most live freshwater shrimp, they are very sensitive to ammonia and nitrite, so it is of great importance that the aquarium they are in has been established and cycled for a while. Most pH ranges suitable for freshwater aquarium fish will also work well for the Cherry Red Shrimp.
These freshwater aquarium algae eater shrimps
are omnivores and will eat just about
anything thus it also one type of cleaner shrimp. They are great algae eaters,
but also love any fish food that sinks to the bottom of the tank, even flake. To
keep those aquarium shrimp healthy it is recommended, as with any pet, to vary
their diet.
When housing your Red Cherry Shrimp with fish be very careful of what type of fish you choose as tank mates. They should be housed with small peaceful fish such as guppies which will not pose a threat of eating them. They prefer a well planted tank with lots of hiding places These aquarium algae eater shrimp are small and very small when young. Many fish would love to have a cherry tasty snack!

Live Delivery Guarantees
Should there be any DOA (Death On Arrival),
prove of photos must be email to me within 24 hours of arrival.
We will replace the Red Cherry Shrimp within the next 5 to 7 working
days or on next delivery order.

You only pay for the reshipping cost.
